93 7.3 fuel injector replacement interval?
Good morning all, I am planning to replace the fuel return lines and o-rings on my 1993 truck,it has 125,000 miles on the odometer.and runs fair- some light black smoke this truck is used daily back and forth to work only no real hauling done. . The fuel return lines are leaking again and causing a delay in starting. My question is at what interval should the fuel injectors be changed? They are the original factory injectors.I think now would be the time to do this. Do the fuel injectors need to be changed at 100,000 miles or when would be a acceptable interval.The injectors were checked at about 80.000 miles and were found to be acceptable The cost for a NEW set of Stanadyne injectors is $256.00 plus $32 for the return line kit.
