I have a 95 F-150 Super cab sb 302.I just bought this truck and noticed a slight shimmy when the truck gets to 28-34 mph.It does this acc/ coasting& in neutral.I feel it in the body of the truck not in the steering wheel.I have balanced the tires ,had new u joints put in.Drive shaft checked for balance.Moved front tire to back ,back to front.Changed diff fluid.Front shocks.New carrier on drive shaft.Rotated the shaft 180 x 2.checked motor mounts. When going down or up a hill it is not noticlble.Just around 30mph on flat smooth road.
I have read alot of the post on this subject.Hope-ing for some new ideas.
Thanks
I have the same truck with a similar problem. I am thinking of changing the transmission fluid. I've heard that the torque converter can get varnish on it and the local Ford dealer is seen this before. My truck has 67K miles on it, the only other problems I have are with the oil pressure gauge reading low and my cab leaks above the passenger seat. let me know how you make out with the tranny shudder
