Air in fuel system
I know that there is air getting into my system via the injector return lines. I am fixing this problem, but have a question about another possible air leak. I have dual tanks, and the rear tank has leaked fuel since I got it. Needless to say, i dont use the rear tank and have let it run dry. Somebody told me that air can get into the system through a bone dry tank, even if the tank selector is set to pump from the full front tank. He said there must be at least some fuel in each tank to prevent air infiltration. Does anyone know if this is indeed true? If so, I assume the easiest way to prevent it is to cut and cap the rear lines? Thanks
