tools for a road trip?
In less than two weeks, I'll be flying out to Washington (state of) from North Carolina and driving back my new-to-me '94 F150. I would feel better if I took some tools with me, ya' know, just in case. Does this beast have any metric fasteners on it? My father's 92 ford aerostar(? big mini van) does, and that made me wonder about the F150. Anyone? Anyone? Buehler?
Thanks
Brian in NC
Before you head out 2k miles...give it the once over or twice just as with any other big road trip. Change out the oil, check all the fluids, check and make sure everything from headlights to tail lights are tight to the right. Pay attention the whole trip.
Good Luck. I'm sure you'll have a blast.
-1 qt of tranny fluid
-At least 1 philips head and flat head screw driver
-Cheap socket set
-9/16", 1/2" and 5/16" wrenches and metric equivalents
-Duct tape (duh)
Its easy for me to carry all this, cause I have a cab organizer. Ya might also want to carry a qt of oil, or buy some when you get the truck. I would def carry tranny and oil. Good luck and drive safe, cant wait to see it!
