Pinion Seal Clarification
Searched and read many threads concerning the pinion seal replacement. Just need clarification on one thing. I have an 85 Bronco with a 9" LS differencial and need to change my pinion seal. Can I just pop it out and install the new one and retorque the pinion nut to 160 ftlbs or do I need to go through the whole deal of pulling out the axles and measuring bearing preload with inch lb torque wrench? I've seen posts that say to do it both ways. What is your take on this?
