Ingition Questions - Ideas?
Hey.... Hope all are well. Back again for some more guidance. 1989 F150 5.0 5 Speed. Today, after not missing a beat for 15 years, turning my key did not crank my truck. Felt NO "spring back" from ignition, and SILENCE... Nothing happened. All the lights came on, started immediately when crossed at sylinoid (spelling). Talked to Advance auto peeps and they sold me a key lock cylinder. After I changed it out, exactly the same situation. When the guy at Advance Auto was jiggiling my igition and trying to determing what I needed, he mentioned a switch.... I am at a loss. Gotta have it cranked by tomorrow night. As always any and all help is appreciated.

you ignition switch is no good, there in the base of the column, there are many many threads on this, do a search and youll come up with one, from what i hear there not any fun but the threads i recall are very informative, good luck.
