I was wondering how hard/easy it would be to stick a 360 in my 62 ford 4x4. It has a 292 in it now, but i want more power. . The engine is out of a 83 jeep wagon, so its a ford 360. It supposidly has only 30 k miles on the rebuilt motor. I can get the thing for $150. The thing is, would it be a good choice to put in my pickup? Oh, BTW my pickup has a 4 spd w/ granny low. If i use this motor, can i use the same tranny?
I agree with jo Iam almost certain the 360 is american motors engine was used in in javlens etc they also had a 390 and I think also a 401 none of these were FE but if you did do the transplant it would be one of a kind
