Trans wont shift automatically
Hi guys this is my first post after being a non member viewing the pages for quite a while. I have a 92Bronco with a 302 and an e4od. My question is last week all of a sudden all my gauges on the dash went out except speedo and my trans doesnt shift automatically anymore. If i put it in drive the trcuk will try to start in OD. If i go manually from 1-2-3 when i get to three it dumps the trans into OD again. At the same time i keep blowing the fuse that shift the trans and runs the gauges. I have gone and looked under the truck for wires rubbing or loose and cant find any. You guys are my last resort before going to a shop, so any input would be useful

First of all if you have 1-2-3 on your column it is probly an AOD not an e4od. As far as your problem it could be something you might want a shop to handle. It could need to have the plug replaced or things like that.

Fully Loaded is right. E4OD (1, 2, and [D]) plus the O/D cacell switch at the end of the shift lever as of 92 I think. if you have no power to the solinoid block at the tranny then you will start out in O/D. you can manually shift up to second but soon as you select 3 it will go into O/D (4).
