Front Liscense Plate Bracket?
I recently purchased a new F150 from a dealer in Delaware and they put on the 60 day temp tag on the back. I was wondering how do you mount the front plate? I am in the military and waiting for my plates from my home state so I have not tried to mount it yet. I saw another new F150 and it looked like it had a bracket that mounted to the front bumper. Did the dealer forget to give me the bracket?
Here how to pull one off according to a post by Gordoponocho
Super easy! Crawl under your truck, carefully unplug the three (3) stoppers on the rubber shield (you'll know what I mean when you see it). Then, with a very long flathead screwdriver (or something similiar), carefully push the tabs out. You can feel them with your fingers first to get an idea of how they work. There are only two tabs. A flashlight will help as it's dark under there. I got mine off in no time.
Maybe this helps

No, the dealer forgot to ORDER the plate bracket when he ordered the truck (unless front plates are not required in DE). There is a bracket available from Ford; you can get it at any Ford dealer's parts department.
Of course, coming from a Ford salesperson, this information is most likely incorrect. Don't worry- there will be someone along by the end of the day to contradict everything I just said. The post will be about 3 pages long, with numerous quotes, telling you all about Ford's inadequate engineering of their license plate brackets. It's always good for a laugh!

Ask, and it shall be given you;
seek, and you shall find;
knock, and it shall be opened to you.
Doesn't hurt to ask since it was their oversight.

sj12ds,
I just asked my dealer and they just gave me one. Florida doesn't need a front tag but i put my AF badge on the front. Just ask the dealer they usually hook you up. And for everyone, my truck has nothing wrong with it and my dealer has helped whenever i have needed it. 4th Ford i have bought and still love'em. 1956MarkII just ignore the hotheads, i just read thier posts and laugh.
