I must ask why one would need any fuel additives on a brand new truck. Fuel injectors are clean because they are brand new. Most top brand fuels have additives to keep them clean (i.e. Chevron Techron). If you are trying to boost octane, the factory designed these 5.4's to run on 87 octane, so that's not an option.
Maybe I'm missing some of the latest technology...I'll go back in my hole now
The only time I use an additive, it's fuel stabilizer. That's when I go out to sea for more than a couple weeks at a time.
On my older vehicles, I put a little dry gas in the tank in the winter to absorb any condensation, but I don't think anything is necessary for a new truck.
FYI.....ANY type of fuel "additive" is TOTALLY unnecessary.....that is, unless you live in an extremely COLD climate (use DRY GAS) or are not going to drive the vehicle for a LONG, EXTENDED period of time (use some type of fuel stabilizer).
My brother is on the Hawes detaches June, and I am on the OAK HILL detaching next month and taking my new F-150 Lariat and 2003 Expedition to England to four wheel.
I'm heading for Portsmouth about an hour south of you under the PEP program. Let me know if you need parts before I come. See you in West Ruislip on the weekends. I was there 89-92. Looking forward to wheeling over in one of the U.K. clubs. Have you played in the mud over there?
