Some people R 2 Stupid

Get this. Some moron found out that he could use his drivers license instead of a credit card to turn the pump on at meijers,so he lets other people in on his secret.Well 107 people decide this is a great way to steal gas, guess what?that machine that is supposed to record credit card numbers also can record drivers license numbers! So now the cops are going after these fools with the help of the drivers license division!I just love to hear when a thief gets caught,it sure warms my heart.Hooray for technology!!!!

I don't think I would have told anybody. You know how that goes. Tell one person, the whole world catches on, and someone rats you out. It might have worked once in a while, if you only did it once every couple months, and always at different gas stations. You could "plead" stupidity that way.

Mind you, I would have never thought to stick my drivers license in a gas pump.

Once, I tried to get money out of an atm with my "Fox Rocks Club Card" but it didn't work.

Thank god most thieves are dumb. I think honesty and integrity are not being taught anymore. If I did that my dad would have smacked the crap out of me for dishonoring our family.

Have any of you guys notices that at a gas pump, if you use an atm/debit card you have to key in your pin number for verification. But if you use a credit card no verification is required. So someone with a stolen credit card could run up gas charges with very little problem!

Yep, you got that right!

> stolen credit card could run up gas

I guess one of the scams in this area is someone with a stolen credit card will offer to buy you gas with the card if you give them $10 or 1/2 the price. The police actually caught a murderer this way recently because the gas attendent inside the store reported it and they traced the license plate.

Yeah King I heard that on the radio (Channel 95.5 FM). I get that station all the way here in Southwestern Ontario, Canada.

Anyways, the radio station had someone call in who offered to do it. He did and it worked. I couldn't believe it. That's crazy. It's funny though, he tried to use a gift card from a store first and it didn't work. Some people!

I have to admit....I was in a hotel one time...my own room, think I was about 16. Anyhow, I wanted to watch a movie and they had a little machine there where you could run a credit card through and pick out a movie. Well me being 16 w/no credit cards....I got out my wallet, found a Blockbuster gift card in there, so I decided to try it. Well, to my amazement, it worked. And I never got billed for it...... Maybe that makes me a bad person???

95.5?
Is it out of Hugo, Oklahoma? If you can pick that up, I'd give you whatever you asked for your radio.

Ya, I heard about this. You know, I guess they think they're being smart, number one, like said earlier, THEY'RE PUTTING THEIR ID IN THE MACHINE, I mean, if the ID has a swipe bar, than the machine is gonna record the id, second, all they are doing is raising the price of gas for those of us who pay for what we get. Same thing with all other shoplifting. I hope they all get pretty stiff penalties.
