Looking for feature truck for article!
I'm looking for a subject vehicle for a feature article for a national off-road magazine. If anyone has a truck that fits the description, or knows someone, please contact me directly. Here are some 'general' guidelines on what I'm looking for.
Truck should be a trail-ready vehicle and preferrably already have some trail miles. I'm looking for neither a 'show queen' nor a rattle-trap. Some 'signs-of-use' is ok, you know 'real world'.
The vehicle need not be a Ford, but I don't want a Jeep. An old Bronco would be pretty cool. I'm interested in something that the average joe could own or build, but with a fair amount of mods. Mostly bolt-on aftermarket parts with maybe some fabricated parts since not everything is off-the-shelf. However a 4" lift and 33" tires with new wheels will not be suffucient if those are the only modifications.
I'm not looking to do a feature on dozens of trucks, but would like as many potential trucks as possible so I can determine which one to shoot. I also require a vehicle that has never had a feature done on it.
I'm posting this in the Ohio chapter because I want someone local, NE Ohio or NW Pa. preferred, but if you're willing to drive it a fair distance to meet with me, you could be from pretty much anywhere.
I believe that should be sufficient for now. Like I said, I don't think we need to have an entire thread on why someones' truck is a better fit than someone elses so e-mail me directly.
