[updated:LAST EDITED ON 03-May-02 AT 03:18 AM (EST)]I looked into that before i did my cummins conversion, the biggest draw back of a cat motor is that they are heavy, next the I-6's are close to too tall bottom of oil pan to top of valve covers, the 3108 will work, it came in earlier diesel 2ton and larger comercial fords . Trannys are easy but if you have 4x4 you will need to look into a divorced t-case. This way you can pick up a used motor and tranny from a wrecked 2 ton and just use a small drive line as the link.
Good Luck keep us posted if you do this conversion.
