Choke adjustment
My meticulously maintained 300-6 has a choke plate that wants to start opening after only about 3 seconds running. The engine isn't warmed up enough to run right with all that air....it runs rough. I have the fast idle at 1500 rpm, it drops to 1100 when that flap opens, I wait...as the engine warms up, the rpms climb, whereby I kick off the choke at 1500, drops to 600 idle...runs fine.
It has a rebuilt carb/choke with only about 1000 miles on it.
I've tried loosening the 3 screws and turning the choke adjustment (spring inside), but that just seemed to create other problems.
