Thumbs up

Hi, Shane - Yup - it will fit just fine. I have a 429 from a '68 T-Bird in my '78 F-150 4x4 - has run great for 11 years now. I used L&L mounts (which bolted right up) and the spline from the T-Bird tranny. I used some brackets from the old 351-M and some from the T-Bird for accessories. Had the tranny rebuilt (C-6) and installed a new torque converter which was designed for a motor home to handle the greater torque. Used the stock exhaust manifolds, but your later model units may not be the same as mine. I had the exhaust system built by a local Meineke shop - 2 1/2" pipes all the way, dual "Big Block" Flowmaster muflers and 3" S/S tips. With the stock 3:50 gears and 3.10x15 BFGs she'll startle a lot of kids in Mustangs and lowered rice-burners! Good luck - you'll love the result!

Harry
