Im going to buy a gamecube tomorrow... used at a local store
I ordered 2 new controllers, 2 memory cards, and 2 6' extensions off of ebay earlier for 16 bucks.
So I should be set with 3 controllers and such 2morrow afternoon
Now on the talk of games...
Whats some good games?
I like driving games, football/baseball/basketball
I plan on buying NBA Live 2003/2004 or something of the sort
Weird how I dont like watching it that much but I play it
Im not into the Final fantasy/Resident Evil type games really, but I do enjoy playing Metal Gear solid (atleast on the PS1)
So any ideas?
James Bond Nightfire is a fun game. Used to play multiplayer a lot with my brother when he had a gamecube. But now... it's Xbox, and only Xbox, because we play Halo and only Halo. Best game there is, honestly.
Hehe.. hope Andy doesn't mind me answering this one for him: a Game Cube is a video game system made by Nintendo. It is shaped like a cube and is rather small, just larger than a box of kleenex. Controllers similar to TV remotes are plugged into them to control the characters in the games. It is one of the "big three" in video games, along with the Sony Playstation and the Microsoft Xbox. Hope that answers your question.
Thanks for answering Ryan.
I quite playing video games on a day-to-day basis long before the Nintendo 64 was "out of style"
and I played the other day... Played Nascar 2003 and NBA Live 2003
I miss it a bit, so im going to trade off my two N64s (bought one, had about 20 games, left it at a friends house) and then picked up another one with Nascar 2000 about a year ago at a garage sale for 10 bucks... so im trading those in, maybe I can get the GC for almost free
You sound like me, Andy. I had two N64's (one at mom's house, one at dad's) and had about 6 games. I mainly played Goldeneye. I wanted to get my own computer since our family one was always being hogged and was slower than molasses, so I sold my two N64's. I vowed that I was through with video games for good, and told myself they were just child's play.... although I did occasionally play James Bond Nightfire on my brother's gamecube...
Then, one day at my cousin's house, I played Halo on the Xbox. Next day, I went to Costco, bought an Xbox and Halo, and haven't looked back since.
My brother has since sold his game cube and bought an Xbox and Halo, too.
Ryan
PS - hope I didn't discourage you from getting a game cube, Andy.
Nah,
you didn't discourage me. Mainly wanted one because a friend has it and we can swap games. Plus, one resident at my work has one and he swears I could never beat him at NBA Live 2003... which I came close the first time I played him. He only beat me by 6 points, and I was ahead 1/2 the game.
I don't know what Halo is about really... but I don't like PS2 that well... I've played it a few times so I don't see the need to buy a system for one game. To each their own.
Halo Halo Halo Halo Halo
I love that game. We often have tournys late into the night over at a friends house. Link them up to seperate tvs in different rooms and have teams. I am pretty good at the game. I never really liked the Gamecube. Whenever I watched people play it, the games always seemed more on the childish side. But they all have those and some bad *** games.
Do any of you have Tetris on N64? I cant find it, I'd be willing to buy it before yall trade.sell it.

I think I might have it
What exactly is Halo about?
and how do you connect them to different TVs in different rooms?
Halo is a game kind of like 007, but better. You have multiple areana type places that you can fight people in mulitplayer mode. You have sniper rifles, pistols, shotguns, rocket launchers, 2 types of gernades.....more. You get 2 XBOX's and hook them up to their own tv. Then us a RJ95 or something like that(big telephone wire) to link them. You can link up to 4 XBOX together. Then you pick red or blue team. This way you can play teams or 1 on 1 without the other persons or team seeing your screen(cheating). Makes it fun, its the only way I will play.

If you've got, let me know what you want for it.
Email me and we can talk games. I dont want in trouble for trying to sell/buy/give away things.
Sounds like Golden Eye for the N64 but better
ANyway you can do things like that w/ a Game Cube?
I figuire you can do that with all 3. They al have their good thngs and their bad. I do the same as you plan on doing. I own 5 games, my friends owns something like 50. So I can just borrow his. Same with DVDs. they have over 300.
Halo is the kind of game that you would want to buy an x-box for, It is that good. Soooo much better than any Bond game. Oh yes, when Halo 2 comes out, it will be much fun!
