a/c question

Hello, have there been any issues with the 2004's and the a/c's not feeling cold enough? Possible undercharged system or TSB's concerning this year? Thanks for the help.

There is an updated cycling switch modification for people with cooling concerns on the highway on trips running the rear AC, but nothing new for general daily driving around town AFAIK. There have been issues with the expansion block in the past, and could affect your operation. The scroll compressor hasnt been real impressive as of yet either. You could be low on freon. I had one a couple weeks ago that the factory omitted the oring on one of the fittings on the rear ac expansion block. Too many possibilities to give a general diagnostic. Have you been to the dealer with your problem?

No sir, I have not taken it yet.....Its been sweltering the last few days in Los Angeles and It just seems like this system should cool down real well, unless of course its low on refrigerant....also...hate to bug you but my wife just called me with a flat on the expy...it has the tire monitoring system...my question is ..can the tire be repaired by anyone, or Ford only because of the monitoring system and warranty? Thanks again Homer!

I see no reason why it cant be repaired by anyone. The sensor is part of the valve stem, and as long as they just repair the tire and leave the sensor intact and do no damage to it, it wont void your warranty. That would be too harsh considering one could be stranded most anywhere.

Its on the accumulator itself, under the passenger side electrical wiring junction box at the firewall.
