I here you guys talking about turning the pumps up and down all the time. My truck barely smokes at all. Is it going to make a noticeable difference in power if I turn in up. Also I live in a city where each rig has to pass emission tests. Currently my truck will pass the tests fine, if I turn the pump up will it effect the results???
yes you could turn it up, it will increase your fuel output, but to much and you'll get lots of black smoke, half a flat is from the flat side on the allen wrench to the the corner of the allen, this is all i would go a little bit goes along ways
I just turned mine up and I went about 90 degrees I dont know that helps because I got headers and my pyro is acting pretty normal unloaded. She is cranking alot more power at the high rpms but I think sombody may have turned it down. I don't know but I think one flat is about a 60 degree turn. so I must ethier have alot of air or that pump was turned down to much
10 secounds I drove her for about 20 miles before I did it. rough idle for about a minute. It stinks having your hand down there trying to find the allen screw and then turning it clock wise especially with the motor being hot and the smell of diesel and a few beers that I had while I was doing the work didn't help matters. Its done and it runs like a champ thats all I care about. my hand and wrist were falling asleep I wish I had smaller hands at times.
Please enlighten us to where this adjustment is made. I can't get any smoke unless I am power braking, so I think I have room to turn it up a tad. Might help my "low power" situation.
Thanks
