1997 4.6 Expedition
Has anyone made any significant improvements as to gaining better performance out of the 4.6 engine? If so how did you do it? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have upgraded to a K&N filter, and I am looking at putting a cat back system on, and I have heard that a power chip wouldn't do much good.

I did the K&N and a FlowMaster cat back system. Sounds great, doesn't seem to downshift as often with the slighest load on the highway, seems peppier, but mileage still sucks. Did I mention it sounds great. Oh yeh, and it sounds great - the wife hates it. I've heard the chip will make the biggest improvement.
