Engine cleaner and indentification
I own a 1981 F250 Lariat XLT - Looking for an excellent engine cleaner/degreaser. Any suggestions? 
Trying to figure out if I have a 351W... Engine code says it was made in Cleveland engine Plant II in 81'. Also has engine code of 'G' in VIN... Anyone have a breakdown of the VIN codes?

any opening into the motor. air cleaner, pcv, any vacuume lines that could be cracked...
degreaser, water, and engine oil, Do not mix. It would get kind of ugly
If you spray the super clean on, then let it sit for about ten minutes before spraying it off it will work better. Cool motor of course.
Do that twice It will work as good or better than gunk and it is less toxic.

cover the electrical too if anybody got a pickup-modual on the distributor they don't like water eather and some of the other systems in the engine compartment also don't like to get wet reason why i'm saying this is because i went through a lake sized puddel on a back road and there no lights and it was raining very hard and my heater didn't work right so my windshild fogged up and i didn't see the puddle and went through it at about 55mph the temp gauge went below the cold and the truck ran for about 2 miles before it died on me would not restart reason why i got water all over everything
