fuel gauge problem

fuel gauge problem

Can someone please help? When I bought my 1900 Ford Aerostar The gas gauge is stuck on full. Is there a way to fix this problem. Any input would be very helpful. Thank you

First thing I'd is check if the wire had come off of the sending unit in the fuel tank.

Did they even have a gas gage on the 1900 Aerostar

If I remember right there is one of two things that can go wrong.
1: If yours has a slosh module on it (on the back of the instermant panel) it will have cracks in the solder which can be soldered back.
2: and the worst...the float sending unit (inside the gas tank) went bad.
