Broken Tailgate Cable

Hey Does Anyone Know Where I Can Get A Replacement Tailgate Cable Mine Is Brokenthanks Sharkwhit

Yeah and get an impact hammer to get those bolts off their awful but the hammer takes them right out

What he said, Get both sides not just the broken one. The Help part # is 38501, You'll also need a large Philips or a Torx 50 depended on year, my 96 used the T-50

I jusr replaced mine, they were like 24 bucks for 2 at Auto Zone. Napa wanted 24 for just one.

Replaced mine

I replaced mine recently with replacements from Ford.. I tend to use the tailgate as a ladder on a regular basis, since I weigh in at over 350lbs, I figured I would get the stocks, they lasted 12 years...

They were about $19.00 each.

Very easy to replace, only took about 5 mins total...

I just replaced mine this weekend. Bought a pair on eBay for $14.95 plus shipping. Came out to about the same price as one cable from Bronco Graveyard. Seem to be good quality.
