clutch problem, will not disengage
1990 ford F350 diesel, 5 speed borg warner with OD. After driving for a while(between 20-45 minutes) The trans will become very difficult to shift. the clutch pedal feel and effort will be the same. But the trans will get stiff. especially coming off the highway. the fluid in the trans(atf) and has been drained and refilled and the clutch master is up to level. the clutch is not slipping as it will stall the engine if I want it to. A local trans shop told me to try bleeding the clutch master/slave as the fluild might have some water or dirt in it making it hard to shift when hot. but there is no bleeder valve on the slave. The slave is outside the bell housing and has a large "clip" that holds it into position.
Is this a sealed system requiring me to buy the master cylinder, hose and slave clyinder in one assembly and replace everything???
I seriously doubt I need to replace the clutch, I pulled the inspection cover off the bottom of the bell housing and it's dry inside.
any ideas?
thanks
Jake
