Does anyone know if the new coil spring arrangement on the '05 will allow the new SD to have a smaller turning radius? I'm looknig to buy a new 4x4 CC SB in the near future and want to know if I'll have to do a three point turn to park the beast. Have all the bugs been worked out of the new 6.0 yet? I'm still on the fence over the V10 or the PSD.
Theoretically it should have a better turning radius since the limiting factor is usually the tire hitting the leaf spring. I still think you will have to do do a three point turn, but that is better than the 4 and 5 point turns I have to do with a CC LB.
As the bugs for the 6.0, I din't think they have all been worked out yet as there are still issues with mileage and main seal leaks. And, since they are doing mods to it, there may be new issues.
according to literature for the new f150, which recieved the 3 valve 5.4, there was increases in power and fuel economy, based on the greater efficency of the engine, but as we all know, mods that can bring more power wont lead to efficiency if you cant keep your foot off the hot pedal.
