Tranny question
I have a 1986 F-250 4x4 Ext. Cab with a C-6, I recently installed a 351m, I know 460 has the same bolt pattern.
Here are my questions:
Did Ford ever put an AOD in F-250's in 1986 or will I have to check into a newer pick-up(1987-91) that is junk?
Will I have to re-wire anything after I find one?
My truck has 3.50 gears and posi in the rear I do not want to go thru changing the gears, but I also want a little better mileage (anywhere between 8 to 11 mpg now) It takes around $50.00 to fill it now.
