strange trany noise
I was wondering if any one has the problem I am having. I have a 03' screw w/a 4.6 auto and my work vehicle is an 01 xtra cab 4.6 auto. Anyway , when driving in slow traffic, say at 10 to 15 mph,stop and go , coasting then accelerating , it sounds as if you run over the "wake-up" bumps on the side of the road. It's not a grinding noise; more like running over lots of minature ditches. The whole truck will viberate for about 2 to 3 seconds , then it shifts into first and the noise quits.? Both trucks I listed above does it. Mileage is 15K on personel and 90K on work truck. Anyone have an idea what's going on? dealer looked at it and cannot find anything wrong.
