i just picked a 93 f-250 xlt 4x4 diesel, when i drive it on the e-way with the cruise on the truck feels like its surging.
another question when the truck sit and idles it smoke a little blue smokecould the valves be bad?
I'm afraid I can't help you much with the cruise control problem, and have a question about the blue smoke: does it only smoke when it's cold, or all the time? If it's only when it's cold, it's not a big problem. It only means the diesel fuel isn't being burned completely, and that's because the engine isn't warmed up sufficiently. MIne does it, and from what I hear, it's fairly common. Now, I'm talking about a little bit of smoke, not billowing clouds of it.
I hope this helps.
My 96 F250 PSD did that for a month, then quit working completely. The dealer said it would cost me betw $300 to $1000 after they got a look at it. Needless to say, I have living without it. I have a x-cntry trip planned this summer, so I might have to take it in. I will let you know what they come up with
