Power Tailgate Lock...?
I bought a Pop & Lock power tailgate lock for my 4.6L 99 F-150, and I cannot figure out what wires are required to splice for the lock/unlock on power locks. It says to splice the Pink/Black and Pink/Orange wires on the Driver's side door wire harness, but I cannot find the Pink/Black. My buddy and I were tryin all of them, and found some activity with the lock (after it was installed in the tailgate, would shift back and forth a few times) when we spliced/connected the Black/White wire, but we couldn't get it to work with the power locks. I'm hoping someone has some experience with this because I'm personally at a loss... The instructions for this thing have been wrong since I opened the tailgate. Hopefully someone can give me the correct wiring... TY in advance.
PS- We had the Black/White wire and a Pink/Blue (I think) wire spliced when the plastic housings for the metal splicers fell off, they touched, and blew the #8 fuse in the box under the hood, so I'm thinking we were close. Any info is appreciated. TY
In general Pink and Yellow is lock, and Pink and Light Green is unlock.
