I heard and read conflicting applications on a battery isolator.
I want to isolate my travel trailer deep cycle from my trucks batteries.
I would also have liked to isolate the Truck batteries but I'm told that I need BOTH batteries to start it...especialy in cold weather, which we have for six months out of the year.
Is this true?Or can we isolate them?
Can I install a Circulating heater? And Block Heater?
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 22-Jun-02 AT 00:11 AM (EST)]So the trailer does not drain my truck batteries...
I taking it across Canada and I don't want to have to worry about unplugging it.
Well I got it all figured out...
There was a plug uder the dash for the Brake controller.
The pigtails at the back...I removed the Tee Tail, don't need it.
The 2 round pigtails had everything else.
The charge wire is wired to a relay uder the hood so a battery isolator is not needed.
The trailer electrical is working fine.
