I hate to post this because I saw the answer on here allready and I can't find it.
What is the part number for the triple marker lights that mount under the tailgate on the F-350 Dually's. An aftermarket equivilent would be fine. Any wiring advice would be helpful.
Most trailer places sell the 3 light bar in either black plastic or metal. I have an Optronix MC93RK that I bought at a local truck accessory store fo $15.95. I have also seen them at Tractor Supply stores. Several companies like Toucan or Altec products have L.E.D. lightbars that go all of the way across the truck under the tailgate and work as tail/turn and stop lights. They cost between $45 and $140. I soldered my 3 light bar into the license plate light leads.
Go to Truck-lite.com,Then to catalog, then ID lights. There are pictures of all the ID bars they make. I used the 35 series LEDs on mine (pictures in gallery)
I would post a link exept I dont know how to do that. Much better at working on trucks than using computers
Wow!, Great replies. I checked the Truck Lite site (www.truck-lite.com) and found the model 15 polycarbonate which states "direct replacement for Ford" (under marker and clearance/ID bars). Only thing is...How do you order form this site? Am I missing something?
E-trailer has a light bar that looks the same or pretty close.
I got the white one from Walmart. It is self grounding with 2 bolts and I did a T-connector in to the brown wire from the license plate lights.
Very easy to do.
So....did all these bolt right up in the existing holes, or did you guys have to do any drilling?
Yup existing holes worked. Make sure you measure your truck and buy the right one as some of the spans are different. I think the holes are 16 1/2 inches apart.
I had to adjust my lights down a little after installation because they were too close to the tailgate (adjustement by force).
I only had to drill one side. It was no big deal. I wired mine to the tag light and it was self grounding. Got it from AutoZone. $14. See in my gallery how it looks.
