Power steering woes
Also have the calipers from the 250. Will these bolt in with no mods or have I bitten off more than I can chew?

1. PS box hitting the frame: Are you sure it is hitting the frame and not the engine perch? If you have an FE motor, you'll need to get the driver's side perch from a '68 or later donor truck, which had Ford PS and an FE also. This perch sits farther forward on the frame, and cants backward towards the engine. This setup was necessary to accomodate the PS gearbox. Also, is your PS gearbox from a '68 to '79 truck? If it is from a later truck, it won't fit.
2. Brakes: To upgrade to front disc brakes, you must change the entire spindle, which is held to the I-beam by the king pins. The drum brake spindles are incompatible with the disc brake spindles. The easiest way to do a front disc upgrade is to change out the entire front suspension. Check out this link for more info:

Hope this helps!
What model truck do you have?
If you have an F250 with the std rotors & 8 bolt lug pattern and have calipers from the same set up they will fit.
But if you have an F100 or F150 the calipers will not fit, or work, unless you get the rotors from an F100 -F150 Camper Special & with the towing option, or rotors from an F150 Trailer Special which are same size as F250 but still the 5 on 5.5 lug pattern.
If you got your calipers from a Heavy F250 or a F350 the rotors will be useless to you on an F100 - F150.

box line up. Rather than using another perch, how about using a torch to heat up that spot and then hammering it down enough to let the holes line up?
Rob
I am personally uncomfortable making that kind of alteration.
Others have done it successfully, though.
Good luck and let us know how it works out for you!
