Original cab steps

I was wondering if anyone knew where I could get the original step for the cab. Mine had them until about 3 hours ago when it lost one of them in a "trailering mishap". anyways ive done a search of bronco graveyard and motorhaven and found nothing. There is a pic of the step in my 79 gallery. Sorry I do not have pics of the "trailering mishap". As far as I know they are original. I do not want aftermarket ones as the step on the driver side is still good and I looked the style of those steps.
Thanx

The previous owner said they were original. I'll try Jc Whitney when i find my catalog. As for what happened to the truck....We were taking my truck to have the front end aligned and put it on a trailer. As we were taking it off the trailer one of the ramps slipped and my truck hit the side of the trailer and ripped that step off and put a nice scratch in my right side door. It gets worse though... we couldnt move the ramp back over with the truck sitting on it so we tried to get it down without sctaching it even more. Me and a guy from the shop were able to hold the side of the truck off the trailer while my dad eased it down. Then the stupid ramps fell as the back tires were going down and the back of my truck fell and it put a big dent in the bed right if front of the back bumper and bent my back bumper all to heck. I'll have some pictures when I get my truck back on monday.

No, a drunk driver took care of that. I bought the truck like that because i wanted a good restoration project. Also the previous owner had just rebuilt the motor and tranny and repainted it. It was hit about a month later and sat in his backyard for a year and a half before i bought it. About the cab steps, i may just JB weld that one back together. the step does not have a manufacturer name on it anywhere, just the number "155" assume that is a part number. I looked in the owners manual for my 77 and it listed a step. My 79 probly says the same but i dont have my truck

well your lucky that you have rust free trucks down there. it should only cost you a few hundred bucks for parts to put it back together also do you plan to change the color on it. IMO i would leave the steps off because I think our trucks look better without them unless you get at leat 9" of lift and at leat 40" tires and you need them to get in the truck.

Yes i am lucky to have a rust free truck and i got a parts truck for cheap. I liked the steps mainly because i'm kinda short and they were a good place to scrape the mud off my shoes before I got it on my carpet. I;m going to leave it the same color except mabye paint the wheels white like they were originally.

I never though of using steps for mud scrapers. I might have to consiter steps when I get my truck done and have carpet in it. I have a jump and turn tecknique to get in my truck but it about kills anyone else to try get in it. but I plan to go bigger though because 4" lift snd 35's are now too small in my book

I just read the description in my gallery and it does sound allitle misleading. I have driven it on the road only once going to my neighbors house although that is only about half a mile. The radiator hose was connected but it was leaking very badly and people were looking at me. I had to fill it up with water and let it cool before i could go home. I was kinda scared someone would call the cops because i'm only 15 and i was drawing alot of attention. Other than that it just gets moved into the shop when I work on it and outside sometimes when I need the shop. I have taken the radiator off now but I'll have it copletely street legal in a few weeks

I have original running boards on my 77 4x4. They're in great condition and I've been thinking about selling them. I only use them to scrape mud off my boots as well. I think paint or powercoating would make them look better though. However they are straight and rust free.
