Differential diameter carrier bearings

Hey everyone,
Im having a little problem trying to figure some things out. I am getting the detroit locker for my 79 ranchero that summit makes, and im putting 3.50 gears in it. And the installation kit to put the gears in has 2 different diameter carrier bearings, and im not sure which one the 9 inch on the ranchero had. The first option is 2.8910 in. and the second is 3.0625 in. Does anyone know which one i would need? Also, when i went to the suggested parts for the locker, and it gave me another installation kit. It says its for installing or overhauling a 9 inch, and im not sure about it. Thanks!
Danny

Well I think that my guess is 2.89 you can lay the old bearing and the new
face to face and match them up or use dail calipers and measure the bore on
the hogs head. It also depends what axel spline and gear.

from what I found researching before I started getting parts for my own rear was that only the G style single rib cases from the 60's and aftermarket rears have the larger bearing size.
the C7AW-E cases are the 2.891" which is probably what you have.
