Talking Chevy pull Chevy???????

I saw the funniest thing on my way to work yesterday afternoon. I saw a Chevy truck pulling a Chevy truck!!!! I didn't think they had enough power to pull a car little less another truck. Has anyone else seen anything so funny?

I told my boss, "Ever notice that Chebbies have tow hooks on the front, and Fords have them on the back?" It's not true, but he got all flustered.

Arkansas, Feb, Snow and Ice storm. I'm with my dad and we're driving a TWO WHEEL DRIVE mitsu pickup with SIX INCHES of ground clearance at the tranny. We passed a lifted blazer with super swamper over size tires and 4X4 (of course) slid off in the ditch. Dad slowed down, rolled down the window and hollered "Need a pull?" then gunned it and took off.

Believe this: I helped a buddy drag his full size Blazer home from my house (about a mile in distance) with my mom's BUICK! No, not some huge station wagon, but a 1990 front wheel drive 3.1L Regal.

Okay, maybe I didn't "drag" it, but I was definitely pulling it. My buddy was in his truck, steering. He couldn't start it as his flex plate became semi-disconnected from the crankshaft.

Nothing too unusual about that...He was probably making a long trip, and was bringing along his 'spare'.

I think it would have been more humiliating to pull him out with the mitsu! Imagine that!!

I can understand the superswampered blazer in the ditch...bad driver and bad tires for snow.

I had to pull out a H2 that was burried in a snowbank. My boss thought he could get through a massively enormous snowbank and burried it. We got 3 ft of snow in that storm, and there was about 4-5" of snow on the ground. I had to yank him at a 90 degree angle to get the back of the H2 over and then pull straight. It took 14-15 yanks from about 10-15 mph to get it out. He sold the H2 and bought a Lightning.

Now now must we bash chevys i have a c10 that has 287K on it and is only a six banger. I overload it and beat on it alot ive filled the 8 foot bed to the tops of the rails with topsoil and with driveway gravel, to the point where i would scrape the trailer ball when comin out a driveway. Ive put a whole driveway's worth of concrete in there busted up and hauled it to the dump.. they can haul they just dont last as long doin it.. My 89 F250 used to haul battery operated pallet jacks in addition to whatever construction junk id haul, and its funny cause i wind up driving alot all over to get all kinds of loads ( and truck parts) and for the long hauls i use my little four banger ranger. Shes got only 87K on it and ive towed a one ton chevy flatbed home from almost MD off 81 in PA all the way to Old Bridge NJ; Ive also hauled cabs all over in that truck..
heck one time i was hauling a ful size truck on a uhaul dolly with my ranger and the full size slid forward and off the dolly. we tried having a wrecker winch up to the back of the full size and hold it while i tried pulling my ranger and tow dolly forward. well the little four anger started pulling the tow dolly the full size truck and the wrecker round the parkinglot lol
I will say in my professional opinion that chevys are cheap and will work even when beaten on but nothing takes a beating like a ford they just dont quit pullin
