Looking at buying a 1989 f250 Supercab LB 2WD LB w/7.3l, 5 speed, bed liner and topper w/160k miles from a neighbor for $3500. Does this sound fair? Also, how can I tell which rear end, transmission and size of clutch this specific truck has? According to the specs from Autozone, there are two transmissions (Mazda and ZR), two clutch sizes and several different rear ends.
Sounds like about what it's worth. What's a LB 2wd LB? Is that a double long bed?
It should be a ZF 5 speed with an 11 inch dual mass flywheel. I'll also guess the rear end is a Dana 70 with 410 gears. I feel like Carnack the Magnificent tonight, now someone look under Funk and Wagnel's porch and see if I'm right. All you Johnny Carson fans should know what I'm talking about anyway.
Thanks for the reply. I don't see the mayonnaise jar, but it's got to be there somewhere. Oops, too many "LB"s. I have a short bed Dodge and this bed looks really, really long. Since it's my next door neighbor, I know the truck's been well taken care of since he's had it. He's replaced the brakes, calipers, master cylinder, tires, shocks, injector pump. Not all probably needed it, but he's a good shadetree mechanic and he likes working on them. He thought the rear end was a 410. He did know it not a limited-slip. I appreciate your help.

There should be a skicker on the inside of the drivers door. If you look up and post the axle code someone can tell you for sure what it is. LS or not and ratio
I opened another thread with the codes from inside the door and horton-racing informed me it has the ZF transmission and 3.55:1 rear end. Thanks for the help. Brent
