i just recently put new plugs, wire, cap, rotor and fuel filter. But that thing is so terribly slow. i just want to get a little more get up and go out of it. I don't think anything is wrong with it mechanically i just want to know if there is anything i can do to improve it. thanks
I recently checked the ignition timing one my truck it was at 6 btdc or something (pedal was on the floor at 70), I set it at 12, its so much nicer now. I can beat my retard friends off the line (not much to be pround of but hey I still gloat anyway but then they catch up due to the crappy top end. Ha wait till I get some money on me they wont know what hit them
My '95 F150 300 I6 with 5 speed is not exactly fast, but very torquy. It certainly can move decently when you wind it out to the hp peak (3400 rpm) but not something to be racing with. I'll add that since recently running a couple bottles of Redline SI-1 fuel system cleanere through it, the truck is running better than ever!
So that is a '95 power curve. Peak numbers pretty close to the book, but torque is nicely higher at 271. But the book is flywheel power and yours is rear wheels? Or adjusted? If rear wheels then what mods do you have? Stick or auto?
