Now I have my new gauges but don,t know what is good or not?
Transmission temp. When I was driving (city and hwy) it almost did not
came up. (have not been towing yet)
How high should it be? (normal operating) and how high can it go without damage??
Boost? So far it did not go above 8-10 (have a superchip 60HP)
Exhaust temp?? How high can it go without harming anything?
Any help/information is highly appreciated!!
I also put in a new "shift valve" and it made it a little firmer.
I have heard that the trans temps will be 40-100 degrees above ambient temperatures. Towing, I have seen 105 above the outside temp. I have set a limit of 220 in my mind as time to pull over and cool down. I derived that number from what I have read. I had to wait a couple months for it to warm up outside before my temp went over 140. My last trip towing an enclosed trialer my temps were 165-170.
