Hypertech Chip ?? Help ??
hi..
friend of mine.. he has his old 5.4 exp and he sold it.. he decided since his trade in value were down,, he took all the performance out of his expy..
so he asked me if i would want his hypertech chip.. its hypertech modular
part number 89712 made by jet 1995
so wondering if it does fit in my 98 4.6 ??? anyone who has it.. does it help ?? or can ruin the motor or tranny ??
he is selling it to me for 100 bucks.. so im thinking..

Hey John, I'd save my money if I were you. I've heard nothing positive about the old Hypertech chips, plus you'd most likely have to send it to the manufacturer to be reflashed which might be another $50.
If you want a proven chip, go with a Superchip or a Diablo.
