upper ball joints
About 2 months ago I had my lower ball joints done ($420.00) When I went to get the truck re-alligned they refused to do it because they say the upper ones are shot as well. I kind of believe it because with the lower ball joints replaced I can still feel the wobble while steering.
My question is: the manual says to remove lower ball joints first to remove the hub and then remove the upper ball joints. Is there a way to just skip that step and get to the upper ones right away?

OK, I blame it on sleep depravation (1 month old daughter) upon reading the manual THOROUGHLY I discovered that what I wrote did not apply to 95 explorer and indeed I can just replace the upper control arm without touching lower ball joints.
