15 inch rims ?
Anyway, I have a 97 F-150 4.2 2wd std cab with front disk and rear drums, I want to put 15 inch rock crawler rims on it, will they fit, if not what 15 inch rims will fit on an F-150?
1. The bolt pattern is 5 x 135mm, that's 5 x +/- 5.3 inches. Definitely not something you'll find on a generic 15" rim.
2. 1997+ factory rims are hub-centric, that is the hole for the hub is designed to tightly fit the hub in order to ensure that the rim is perfectly centered on the hub. Many other manufacturers use lug-centric rims, that is rims that are centered on the hubs through the use of the lugs and lug nuts. You may wind up with bad fit/ vibration problems using rims not specifically designed for 1997+ F150's.
3. Depending on the rim, you may have a problem with the rim clearing the brake calipers.
More tire manufacturers are producing truck tires in 16" and 17" sizes, although they're usually more expensive than comparable 15's. I'd stick with 16's or larger.
