ID'ing transmission

ID'ing transmission
My '70 F100 has a 302 in it that I know isn't original. How do I determine what type of transmission it has?
It's got a 3-speed automatic on the column, and the pan on the transmission has 11 bolts in a square pattern. I can't get around to see what's above the linkage on the side of the transmission to tell what it says.
Any clues?
