I ordered an E-350 v10 5 weeks ago and as yet don't even have a build date. I'm torn now between taking a late delivery of a 2004 or waiting (til August?) for a 2005. Any thoughts?

Well, what's the difference in the two models ? Any ? I do like the 2004 grill better than the round oval that was in the 97-2003's which I liked ALOT. The two little 'power slots' along side the smaller oval look cool. So, what will you gain to wait ? Or what will you lose if you wait. Conversely as yourself the same 2 questions of the 2004, then, and only then grasshopper will the truth become known to you, now go an V-10 responsibly.
Well, rumor has it that 2005 will see a 3 valve head and 6 speed transmission. More HP, more torque...don't know if that is true or not, but it has been mentioned many times on this board.

Yep I've heard those rumors too, for the past few years. I think we'll see some upgrades in the V-10, but not for awhile. Ford spent mucho on the 150, and is spending alot more, and really concentrating on it's cars right now. Let's face it, american cars have really sucked the last few years and the big three have all made a serious commitment to the car, which is sorely needed. So with the 5.4 V-8, and it's new billion dollar baby-stroke, why would Ford spend any $$$ on the V-10 ? I don't think they will. Maybe they'll raise HP and Tq a bit like they did in 99 & 2000 but you won't see any big advancements, not for awhile, if ever.
