I have a 93 F250 with a 7.3l diesel.
I have 145k miles on it. I heard that
around 100k miles you should have
the injection pump rebuilt or replaced.
Is this true? What are some of the ways
you can tell it’s failing?
Who makes a good aftermarket pump?
Thanks in advance for any help.
If it runs fine, leave it alone. When it starts to run badly (low power, lots of smoke, etc.) you'll know it and it will be time for a rebuild. Until then "if it ain't broke, don't fix it."
hey gr8ride
I have the same motor.. 7.3 non turboed with 172,000 miles on it and it is still going strong on the origional equipent motor wise except for starter and Ac pump...
Like Joe said if it anit broke don't fix it..
I am sure you will get many more miles of trouble free driving out of that truck
