I just noticed today that I have some oil draining out from under my airbox. As I removed the cover, I noticed that the air filter was unusually brown in one spot. I took it out and right where the breather filter is (in the side of the box), there was oil everywhere. The breather is soaked, and the airbox is soaked. I put new air and breather filters in about six weeks ago. Has this happened to anyone?
It's either a bad PCV valve, or else your engine is worn and producuing excessive blowby.
Replace the PCV valve. If it still does it, unfortunately you are looking at a rebuild, actually only a ring job but at this point the motor is worn and should be rebuilt.
pull out the pcv valve, and see if it is sucking by putting your thumb over it (with the engine running), if its not, try cleaning it out, if that doesnt do it get a new one. also see how much pressure is comming out of the hole in the valve cover. if theres a whole bunch its time for a ring job and everything that goes along with that
