Here's the problem.....hopefully someone with the "know" can give me the step by step to resolve this.
I ordered my truck back in late Nov 03 with price code 430, recieved it Jan 8th 04 with the increased price code of 435, a differance of approx. $170. Yes I know I was price protected at 430 but dealer insisted I had to pay the 435 and I would get reimbursed when he applied to FMC for it. So I took delivery of truck and he assured me he would follow up on it. So here we are 5 months later and I call him every week asking about it. He claims now that he "has asked everyone and no one knows what steps he has to take to make it happen"
What I need is the exact steps he needs to take, and please no "call FMC".."Who" does he call, form# he may have to fill out etc. I know it's only $170 but it's principle...and yes I could have refused the truck but here we are......If I had a step by step to take to him....then, just maybe....oh well.....
Exactly who are you talking to at the dealership? It sounds like the salesperson. Because the owner or anyone that submits paperwork to Ford (the Office Manager, for example) would know how to do this blind-folded.
Actually it's the fleet sales manager....this is a huge dealership so it is odd that "no one" seems to know how to do it. I called him today and got the run around and told him my next call was to the sales manager. I think it's the BS run around personally......he wanted to trade it out in oil changes but at this point, I just want my money owed.
First of all, the dealer should have just given you the old price, then claim the discount when he reported the sale. To make YOU wait for it is unconscionable. Talk to the owner or the office manager. As I said, they can do this with BOTH hands tied behind their backs. Whoever you're dealing with is trying to steal your $170, and they ought to be ashamed of themselves. I'm sorry, but for $170 this guy is giving my profession just one more black eye, and it ticks me off.
