anyways. its been running slightly crappy since i baught it and has needed a tune up, unfortunatly, i'm low on cash, so i went with accel cap and rotor kit.
Brass supposto! conduct better then the other stuff they use, so i thought it might be a good idea to use that. An auto light was on there, And boy was it nasty when i pulled it off.
So! anyways, the rotor cap didn't fit on to well, and it caused problems, so i put the old one back on after i cleaned it up, and its still running like crap.
feels like a cylinder isn't fireing every now and then, wont idle properly, power isn't always there anymore, for a while it was idleing at 3 grand after i stuck the clutch in while driveing. that was cause the rotor cap wasn't on all the way, that problem is fixed, but the fact of the thing not running well screws me up while shifting. Press in the clutch and BAM like something is breaking. This sometimes happens when its cold out and stuff, but its a lil rediclous just from a friggen rotor and cap change!
So! how do i check for wire crossfire?
I'm sure the plugs are good enough for now, considering how bad this rotor was, it should fix half the problem. All my wires are set right, and this baby flys when she runs right, but i need it to run right all the time, not just when i get down on it.
Yea thats the other one, If your driveing easy, the check engine light is on, if you rip on it, it clicks off, till you let down again then it comes back on.
and no, its not EGR, egr stuff isn't even hooked up at all.
i'm thinking the new cap just might be crap. I have the old rotor cap in there, and that made it run a lil better, cause it fit on there properly
okay, there looking rough, but i cleaned em up best i can, gonna try a few other metal techniques on here and see if i can get it cleaned up more.
this could very well be a bad coil problem.
its running a lil better, but not as good as it did. took it down the road and hot rodded it back, it did okay, except for the shifting problem.
I think i better get underneath and check my tranny mounts and engine mounts, i think thats makeing that clunking sound!
Reseting the computer right now.
