Valves for 351m heads
I am looking for a good set of valves to go in my 351m to 400 rebuild. I want to keep the costs down but still get some good replacement valves. Will 351C valves work? Thanks.

Also what type of valve keepers will I need?

Yes the small vaves will work, I went with comp cam retaners and locks.

You valves and keeper have to match. Stock type had several grooves. Performance ones usually have only one.

My exh. valves have 1 groove and intake have 2 grooves? is that normal? I can't seem to find any good replacement valves are stock type ok to use?

mudbogger2,I replaced my valves with Ferrea Stainless steel one's.At the time they made them for the 400.

Stainless would be my preference at least for the exhaust. Also stellite seats for the exhaust.

I left my seats in,but I run leaded race gas anyway.I also ditched the umbrella valve seals in favor of some valve seals from Crane cams.It requires you to machine the valve guide boss for installation.It's a pretty cool setup.

Where are you guys finding these valves. All I can find is stock type to fit these heads.

MB2, search and find Accelerated Motion out of Canada, they have a good detail on various parts and MFG's that might help you.
