Question Question for LxMan1

I am thinking about buying a 2001-2003 F150 Supercrew. I pull a 20ft bass boat about 2-3 times a month. What year model and engine 4.6 or the 5.4 would you choose? Which one is the most maintenance free and the easiest to work on? I am leaning towards the 4.6 for the gas mileage. What do you think?

I guess Jimmy mush have missed your question.
It's not like him to not answer on here
As far as maintenance goes both engines are very good and they are both almost identical to work on.
From what I've seen they both get close to the same mileage too so if I was towing at all I would go for the one with more power. Towing with a small engine or driving in hilly country where you make the engine work harder will kill the mileage on a smaller engine as you will always be more into the throttle.
More power might not always be neccessary now but in the future you might decide to tow a heavier trailer or whatever and you might wish you went with the bigger engine.
That's just my $.02 worth
