Dumping fuel

I have a 69' f-100 w/300 1bbl. carb. After you shut the truck off it dumps fuel out of the bottom of the carb. around the throttle linkage and on front side. It starts up and runs fine, Any input would be apprec.

Did you check for any blown gaskets in the carb

No, just wondering what the poss. causes would be before I pull it and take it apart. Thanks

My only thought could be a stuck needle valve.Buy a 15 dollar rebuild kit and elinimate future probs.
