I'm seeing some kits with the conical, open face air filters coming available for the PSDs. However, my 1999 F250 is early 99(actually 11/98) which the mfr's say requires the air intake to be "modified by Ford". Has anyone attempted this "mod" or know what is required? Any help or information would be appreciated.
Thanks and safe truckin',
Dennis
You need a 99.5 airbox. My truck is an early model with the upgraded airbox. I also have the AFE Magnum Force on it and really like it. You can see it in my pics. The online store here has them available.

The link to TYMAR is www.all2dale.net. You'll love the way the turbo sounds, and those with guages report lower EGT's and higher boost.
I hope this helps.
Les, after looking at your pics it appears you hose fit. Mine does not! It is way too short. No need to reply if you don't have info that will help.
Best regards,
Dennis
Les,
If you see this, please see my post from the 17th. I checked your pics. Very nice! Was your original hose long enough? Mine sure isn't. Thanks for your time! dr
Thanks Les. I just went over to a neigbor's and checked out a 2002. The hose may have the same part # BUT it is longer with 45 degree bend so I'm going to have to get one. Thanks for your reply! Picking up a "Fold-a-Cover" tomorrow. I'm sure there will be another hidden challenge there somewhere! dr
Just wanted to suggest the Volant (not sure about spelling) air box. It's a huge replacement air box w/ all intake hoses included. My Superduty is a very early unit (manufactured 3/98) and all I had to purchase was the kit for $300. The increase in volume is huge.
I'm pretty happy w/ it.
